Does rear main stop leak work or destroy your engine

You left out a few details asked for in the posting instructions. Also there is no indication of how bad the leak is. So, we do not know what kind of vehicle you are dealing with or whether the seal is just seeping oil or gushing out oil.

Scotty has recommended ATP AT-205 "Reseal" for rubber seals. However depending on the condition of your rear main seal it may work fully or partially, long term, short term, or not at all. Of course the only way to effect a lasting repair is to replace the seal.

You missed quite a few things. What is the make, model, year and mileage on your vehicle? It specifically states this on the page you submitted.

Scotty has recommended AT-205 Reseal if the rubber has become hard, but not cracked. If the rear main is cracked or torn, AT-205, nor any other product is going to work.

Even if it does work, AT-205 is only a band-aid fix. Preferably you should replace the rear main.
