I have a 2003 2500HD silverado with 6.0 Gas with 145k miles. Three times now in the past two months I was driving highway speeds 55 plus and it just goes into reduced power Mode. I have to pull over shut off the truck off and then it starts back up no problem and I can drive away. Check engine light goes off as soon as I restart the truck. I love this truck and have had it for 5 years with No problems and just paid it off a year ago. So I guess its time to start breaking?

plug a scanner into it before you shut it off next time

Could be as simple as a fuel filter, has it ever been changed? Possibly a fuel pump. Had a dodge that did the same thing. Good luck.

Only real way to know what is going on is to scan the codes while they are present.
