Hi, I've got an 06 toyota solara 2006 se 4cylinder engine, with 126,500 miles on it now, last oil change was 124k miles. scotty recommends we change our oil every 3k-5k miles, does it  matter if it's city or highway miles?

I do alot of short drives and I was wondering if Changing my oil every 3k miles(in my case when it hits 127k miles) will it help my engine last longer or Changing it at 5k or 3k won't matter, my job isn't far from my home hence I don't get to drive far.

Please advise, I love my car and want it to last longest.

Thank you for your responses

Regardless of where you put them on, 1 year/5k miles is the best interval for synthetic oil changes.

Stick to 5000 mile intervals if using full synthetic (or 3000 mile if using mineral oil) or once a year, whichever comes first -

Okay, thank you
