Hi Scotty,

I am planning to buy a 2011 ford escape none hybrid but I dont know which one I should look for, v4 or v6 when it comes to reliability, low maintenance, hard to break, and availableity of cheap aftermarket parts?

They are about the same in each category. The 4 cylinder may get a bit better MPG but that depends on your driving style.

Hybrid, why?

The V6's are good little motors, especially for light duty towing and overall punch. The l4 engine (have it in my Focus) is also a solid choice, and gets better fuel economy. But it is probably louder and vibrates a ton knowing Ford.

Reliability depends on whoever had it before you. You can't go wrong, just get it checked by a mechanic.
