Hi so on my 2007 Hyundai sonata 3.3 v6 the starter went out, so I went to autozone and bought a remanufactured one that was $200 and was for my motor. When I put it in and bolted up and everything so i went to start it and it sounds different than the original one . Sounds like the starter motor still spinning mean after let the key go doesn't sound like any slipping of grinding and starts right on spot. Just wasn't sure if it was cause it isn't a OEM one . Sounds like starter disengages and starter motor just spins a little longer. Wanted to know if that was fine or normal? Motor has 117,000 miles
Most of the reman starters from AutoZone come with a limited lifetime warranty. If there is any question about it's function, get another one.
Is reman starters supposed to sound the same as OEM ones ? What do you think about the problem I'm having?
If there's any question get a new one. Maybe the one you got was made on a Friday afternoon - or a Monday morning.
