Hello everyone. So I've always wondered this but what's happening if someone decides to remove the air filter cover? I know it makes the vehicle loud but is it safe if your air filter is secured properly? Does it improve anything?

They didn't put it there for fun. No, removing it isn't an improvement.
Oh okay. I did a lil research and I see removing it there's 2 cons that being the air filter may come out of place via speedbump or a bump in the road and 2 being hot air from the engine bay has less oxygen there the engine makes less power. Reason for asking is because I've seen car guys with these souped up vehicles they have the hood open and I see they have the air filter cover removed.
