Are there any dealerships that you recommend? My Kia Soul is burning oil and on its way out, and I need to buy a new car this week. I'm overwhelmed, but leaning Toyota/Lexus based off your advice.

In general we do not recommend any dealerships here. The problem is that 99% of them make the other 1% look bad. Though obviously if you're looking for a brand new vehicle then you need to go through a dealer. A couple of youtube channels that may help you avoid dirty tricks dealers typically pull:

Go get yourself a new Honda Civic. I have a Sport model myself with the 2.0-liter K20C2 motor. For $26K not including your trade, it's a great car. I have had zero problems with mine.
