i have a 94 k3500 with 160000 on the clock .I plan on doing some traveling with my travel trailer this year should I have the trans rebuilt just as an insurance/ peace of mind even though it’s shifting and pulling fine or just change the filter and fluid and not worry about it
I would do a drain and fill along with a filter change and not worry about it
I have been going through and changing things that might be a problem,timing chain distributor power steering pump water pump fuel pump have a spare starter and alternator and traveling with some tools
And gas money it’s got a thirsty 7.4

I personally wouldn’t take a 27yr old vehicle cross country, pulling a heavy trailer.
The odds of something major going wrong & you getting stranded in the middle of nowhere are -
