I have two (2) 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cabs with about 120,000 miles. I bought both used and immediately started using Royal Purple. I do change my oil every 4 to 5000 miles. Does Royal Purple live up to the hype?
Here is what a resident car expert has said on the forum before:
"Royal Purple is fine if you just want to throw away good money. Any synthetic blend from Mobil 1, Pennzoil, etc. works just as good and is a lot cheaper."
I would just use correct oil from a good brand and call it a day. If you are using synthetic, get synthetic. If not, go conventional. Change oil every 4-5 thousands miles as you are doing.
No it doesn't live up to the hype. It is a fine oil but it is definitely not worth the price.
No it isn't. Any synthetic blend from any major oil brand will do just as good for cheaper.
