Rumors of the IH Scout’s return true?

I was buying a wood splitter off a guy and he noticed my IH hat. Asked me about it, said I’ve collected six tractors, grew up around them, love them and want to add a truck and scout to my collection. He said with Ford bringing the bronco back, they are bringing the scout back.

My questions are:

1. Anybody know if it’s true? NAVSTAR that I think owns the rights to the corn binders and still makes IH Semis has never had an interest is bringing back the scout.

2. Volkswagen owns 15% of NAVSTAR, knowing how Scotty feels about German engineering, would they be ruining a once quality vehicle (in my biased opinion)

Thanks

I very much doubt it.

By the way, one of the things people forget about the Scout is that it was an early turbocharged vehicle. Starting in 1964 it was available with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
