I have an '08 Ford F-150XL, 4.2 liter, manual, 205,126 miles. I'll try and keep this brief. I bought it from the company I work for, and they do not take care of their trucks. Bought it for $500 and have been trying to do some things here and there, when I can. It's actually been running great
Overnight, this thing started misfiring? I don't really know. It drives like the wheels are flat, the engine makes a hell of a lot of noise, and my exhaust is smoking. No check engine light, it's not overheating, there's no water on my oil dipstick. I've replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, and it's still driving like that. I plan on replacing the O2 sensors.
It's this a waste of my time? Is this thing going to blow up? It just seems like it's bogged down. I can't quite articulate it. Sorry. Hopefully that's enough for you to get the gist of it.
Thanks in advance,
Jason

What do you expect from a $500 company truck with neglected maintenance? I would start with compression tests on cylinders.
I honestly didn't expect it to last the three years that it has, but it's been good to me so far...
“Overnight, this thing started misfiring?” @Jasuill77
Maybe you got a bad tank of gas with water mixed in.
