Hey Scotty,
08 Lexus RX350 AWD 126K. Passenger side rack boot apparently badly torn. No active leaks, no noises, no steering difficulties. I did notice a leak and was losing P/S fluid when the torn boot was first reported 15K ago, but it is not leaking now. After most recent service, dealer tech. suggests replacing rack. A different Toyota tech. I talked to (not affiliated with this dealer) suggested just replacing the boot.
Your thoughts?

Well it's not leaking I just replaced the boot. Realize the boot is just a dust shield to keep dirt from getting on the rack and wearing the seal that's inside there
