Salt, an ionic compound, dissolves very readily in plain water.
So, hot ,soapy water and pressure

Salt cannot be neutralized... so just as said before, wash it out thoroughly. Maybe even twice. Get it all even in the tubes holes and rails under the car or truck. Don't miss any spots.
The salt is only able to do its evil work when with its friend water which makes the reactions possible. Water is what will wash it away.
