What scan tool resonably priced, would do live testing of my evap system. 2004 gmc envoy xuv, with 5.3 motor. It is throwing code
po446. I have cleaned and tested the vent valve and it works. New fuel cap also. Most of the scanners that are bidirectional are for newer model cars. Just wondering what you would suggest. Also have a 05 chevy 2500 pickup and 2010 acura that would be nice to check too.

Regarding the vent valve code. Did you replace the vent valve and the filter?
Removed, cleaned filter, check solenoid with power, it worked. but I have read that if the pressure switch in the tank goes bad the computer will not close the vent valve, thus it throws the code.
