I know standard transmissions are best but do to health reasons i must have automatic. And hatchback fits my lifestyle best.
That being said, which one is more reliable especially when it comes to automatic transmissions?
And yes i will have it tested by a trusted mechanic.
Thanks.
I'd get the Honda Fit, its much newer. Toyota Matrix automatics are pretty good a little better than the Fit's but honestly the Matrix is 10 years older and the Fit is already an excellent car. You generally don't see automatic transmissions go out on either the Fit or Matrix they are smaller cars.
Realize they are both good cars, but the Fit is newer. You would want to test drive them to see which one you like. Some would say the Fit's road noise is too much or the Matrix's ride is way too firm but thats a personal choice.
The price for the Fit is good, with some haggling you could get a deal. The price of the Matrix is too much for me.
Of course you would want to do a vin check to see if its reported as wrecked and if you could get your hands on service data.
Good luck!
Both are excellent choices if they check out. I would lean to the Honda due to age.
