I have a law boy lawn mower it is pull start. And it gets hard to start when not on full tank then when you get it started it puffs his grey smoke and it smells like oil burning. What can it be? If you don’t know let me know.

How old is it? Old Lawn Boy mowers used two-stroke engines that burn oil by design. (If you have one of those you should be mixing oil in with the gas.)
