Interesting choice. Was that the last year of the ecodiesel? The early ones were terrible, but by the 2020’s they were better, somewhat.
I haven’t looked at ecodiesel details recently. And unfortunately most of the info currently out there on the internet is just AI-generated garbage. To get useful info, you’ll need to do a deep dive.
But as I recall, there was not one single big problem. More like lots of little problems. And if I remember, they don’t stand up to towing very well. I think they also are vulnerable to injector failure, so I’d probably run a good fuel additive (Hot Shots Secret or Power Service for example).
