2011 Cadillac CTS 3.0 Luxury Sedan

The dealership has been caught lying more than once.  Just last week, I  just brought the car in for an oil change, and The Service Rep comes out with a distressed look on his face, " we are going to have to put your extended warranty to work for us, your timing cover is leaking. For the first time in two years, I am invited into the shop to see the results of this problem.  The Mechanic shows the service rep the location of the leak with a flashlight. Then shows me. The oil pan cover was covered in fresh oil, as if they filled a container and dunked the pan in a bath of oil.

It is made clear to me and it is confirmed the timing cover is leaking, it's a big job 17 hours to fix.

As we walked back to the customer service waiting area, I told the service rep that last week I found the breather tube improperly routed and not connected to the fitting on the valve cover. His exact words were who ever was in there before us must have done that .

At the end of the day it turns out my extended warranty good till may 2022, expired due to mileage 24k since I bought it.  So service rep calls me tells me the bad news, and does not recommend fixing it out of pocket. I pick up the car go home for the weekend and go to work Monday, checking my service records and since I have a photo eidetic memory, and these guys already did this job 1 year and 4 months ago and their service work is supposed to be covered for 2 years. I called left message politely reminded him of the prior service work and invoice number. The service rep calls me back and tells me I was excited when I got your message and normally this would be covered under our service warranty but, since it is the oil pan cover that is leaking it is not.

So last Thursday 2 people verified its a timing cover the following Monday it changes to the oil pan cover.

To fix the oil pan cover the timing cover has to come off first lol

I have attempted to contact the owner of this company Robert Geyer who owns 42 different companies and is worth 7million dollars.

He was not at his office ( Sunset Chevrolet in Sarasota Florida ) on Saturday,  I took a shot, His associate Mike told me to contact the general manager of the Sunset Cadillac Dealership in Venice Florida.

I'll keep you posted if you like.

I believe they didn't fix anything and submitted a false claim to my warranty company, including headlamps they claimed didn't work,

However no proof of that, just the invoice claiming they did do the work however it appears their work is no good.

When I remove the oil fill cap there is white/gray smoke tiny amount rising out of the fill hole. Car has been running hot because all the paper tags on the hoses and things are completely disintegrated.

I dont think anything is leaking at all. Other than that fitting for 1 year and 4 months. Losing oil in between oil changes for all this time.

Wow a crooked GM dealer I see that everyday. Really all you have to do is put them all divided leak down the oil in the dial sure where the leaks coming from and if it is coming from the part they covered just film that and make them fix it. That's why I tell people not to buy cars from them they basically are crooks.
