Thank you
The link doesn't work for me so I couldn't see the car and information about it. But based on your short explanation I'm assuming the car has had issues. If this is the case I won't take the sellers word or even a Carfax or whatever other vehicle record service; have your independent mechanic check it for you. Also, you didn't state the price, but 175k is a lot of miles unless it's being sold cheap.
Only issue was the manifold flange was rusted. It was replaced. He sent photos. The records are on lexus vehicle service.record website. No car car is cheap right now. As for the milage that is basically what im looking for advice.on how long they last with proper maintenance. On a toyota product that really generally isnt high mileage. Both toyotas I have 230000 plus miles.and run perfectly. I'm just not familar.with the engine in the lexus.
Yes I do know very well that cars are not cheap right now, but some cars even in this market because of their condition are only worth it if they are being sold for cheap. Toyota/Lexus do last for a long time if taken care of, but the issue is whether the previous owner has taken care of it and not caused damage that would reduce its life or create further problems/repairs needed. Again as I initially stated I would not take the sellers word or any service records only; have your trusted independent mechanic check the car to make sure everything is fine. And if it was 175k miles is a lot so buy it only if you can get it for a realistic price. I've seen people asking $7k or more for something this high of a mileage and to me it's not worth it that much which is why I mentioned it would have been helpful if you had stated the asking price.
Which manifold was replaced, intake or exhaust?
Sorry exhaust manifold.
