Hi Scotty, what is your opinion on filling sealed ball joints with a grease needle using a manual grease gun?

A friend of mine does this to his 1997 Toyota Camry on a regular basis, it works well for him. He's never replaced ball joints in the 12 years he's owned the car.

I thought OP was talking about slipping the needle past the seal opening, not puncturing!
