Just went to get my 2004 Land Rover range rover with 67k miles in for a tire balancing and realignment. They did the balancing, but said my tierods were seized so they couldn’t align them. Should I unseize them or replace the tierods? Might be a dumb question but im starting to get into fixing my car and figuring out the best thing or what is wrong with it before giving it to a mechanic.
What a useless shop. Take it to a real mechanic.
Fixing seizing things to a mechanic, is like unclogging pipes for a plumber. An everyday task.
By seized tie rods does that mean that the tie rod ends are rusted in place and can't be adjusted? Usually, with some PB Blaster and judiciously applied heat, these threaded parts can be freed up and properly adjusted.
