We are looking for a car for the family for my mother as they need a big car for running errands and weekend trips. My mother doesn't exceed 1000 miles per month maybe. The options that are in front of us:
1. Toyota Sequoia 2014 done about 99k miles in excellent condition.
2. Infiniti QX56 2013 done about 130k in excellent condition.
Which one is more preferable from my experience with my GX470 I trust Toyota and Lexus more than any brand. But my mom really liked the QX56 shape and she is leaning more towards that I am trying to convince her to take the sequoia due to its reputation for reliability. What are other options under 20k $? And would the infinti be a bad option?
Kind Regards
The QX56 is a fancy Nissan, so you get all of the increase in costs over the regular Nissan equivalent. Jatco RWD transmissions aren't as bad as their front-wheel-drive counterparts, but I would rather take the Sequoia for the same price. It has less mileage than the Infiniti, and the Toyota will way outlast the Infiniti with even the most basic maintenance.
@justin-shepherd thanks for your valuable response. Might do a pre purchase inspection on it today to see.
