Thank you for allowing me to submit a question. I have a 2013 Mitsubishi outlander, sport and I need to put a serpentine belt on vehicle. Belt # 865k6. I have been trying for a month to get this belt put on I have had many people try, including ASE certified mechanic, master mechanic. All to no avail. Could you please tell me what to do about getting that belt put on? I have gotten a belt from advanced auto parts and AutoZone and neither belt works. They are too short and I cannot get anyone to get the belt on why?
Buy the belt from the dealer
Looking at the available belts on rockauto.com it appears that you may really need a #866k6. Many of the available belts use those numbers in a different arrangement. (It's pretty common for aftermarket part numbers to be based on the OEM number in some way.)
