Hi! My grandpa watches your videos told me to message you! I have a 2018 Honda accord EX-L 2.0 with 112,000 miles and an automatic. We recently replaced the spark plugs, battery, and cleaned the throttle body. In idle, the car’s Rpm’s jump up and down. The car will also thrust forward almost as it’s jumping. When driving, it struggles to shift but once it’s past a certain speed, it shifts fine. There is no check engine light present. Wasn’t sure if it’s a leaky hose, needs new ignition coils, or something completely different. Please let me know!

Did you start having all these issues before or after the tuneup?

Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

Scan for codes and data to get an idea of what's going on. You could also try cleaning the MAF sensor and throttle body. As far as the transmission is concerned, when was fluid and filter last changed?

We scanned and nothing came up. If it was dirty or causing issues, wouldn’t a check engine light come up? Going to replace ignition coils and see if it fixes it along with check for debris in the MAF.

Check engine light only illuminates when problems reach a certain level.
