Shift cable for auto transmission

I have an 88 Thunderbird Turb Coup that needs a shifting cable. Of course they are obsolete. Do you know where to get one or someone who can build one if I send the original? I would surely appreciate any info you could give me. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!

Cable runs from shifter to transmission linkage

Have you tried to find a used one on ebay or junkyard (car-parts.com search)?

I would take the old one to a transmission shop and see if they van fabricate one for you. If it is just a cable, there shouldn't be a problem.

Also check online to see how many years that cable was used and on how many different cars.

Lastly, try NAPA, they are pretty good at making stuff out of bulk stock.

Thank you, don't know why I didn't think of Napa, I've used them before for fabrication.
