[Solved] MAP sensor short

My car has a short somewhere but I'm unable to identify it using the fuzes. Whatever it is, it's shorting out my map sensor and causing the car to throw bad codes. I feel it may have something to do with the altinator but I'm unsure of how to find and identify it.

Well, unfortunately it seems that you have what's called a live short. A dead short is easier to find because you just measure drain on the battery and pull the fuses until the drain goes away. But of course you can't do that on a live short that only happens in the car is running. So you'll have to get out a meter and start testing all the wires and sensors to see if any of the sensors are shorted out or the wiring and realize you have to test the ground wiring too. They can be short depositive. It can be a short in the ground. Could be either way

Please start by describing the problem you are experiencing. What symptoms does your vehicle exhibit? What are the diagnostic codes you see? What makes you think there's a short, or problem with your alternator, or sensor etc.

Also, please provide all the information we ask for in the instructions so we can help you better. Thanks.
