We are considering buying a used 2021 Mazda CX-9 with 34,000 miles on it. What are you thoughts on this vehicle? I hate buying used cars, as I usually lease, but the wife is driving too many miles to do that now. We got burned on a 2013 BMW that blew a motor due to the well known timing belt issue. The wife is scared to death to pull the trigger due to that previous experience. I love your channel and you have taught me a lot over the years. KEEP AT IT. Any advise you could pass along would be GREATLY apricated. I have included the listing from the dealership.
Respectfully,
Brett
Here's what data is out there - note that since it's pretty new, not a lot of problems have cropped up and/or been reported. I'd have to say it's a pretty safe bet if you like the car

The Carfax reports a "minor accident" at the end of February this year, so recently wrecked and repaired. The oil change interval has been ~ every 7500 miles, the longest gap being 10K miles. This isn't a deal breaker as at only 34k the motor should still be fine. (it's just not optimum, Scotty recommends 5k mile oil changes)
This car should be thoroughly checked out by a mechanic. Don't fall for the 'Certified' label it means nothing (unless it includes a warranty)
