I found 2 State government Toyota Corollas with extensive maintenance records. Have any of you ever purchased a government owned car? Both are 2012. One has 150k and one has 103k both for $7500
@grant_mcl
As a Retired Military Vet who has driven a bunch of Gov vehicles, I would advise not too. Most have had too many different drivers, some who may have beat the snot of them. I've seen it with Military Police vehicles. Kids would just hammer on them. Beat the piss out of them. Just be aware of that. They still could have a lot of maintenance records but you can't verify how many different drivers they've had. I would go on condition, mileage and price. That said, there ARE some incredible deals out there on Gov vehicles. Old Fire Dept vehicles are notoriously well taken care of. Good luck!
Hy!
Cars are decent pick. It's good to check them before buying. Since they are not owned by a private owner, you cannot expect to be in excellent shape.
Good luck!
They should be good cars.
@yaser
Lol do every maintenance interval and charge the state government
Is that BOTH for 7500 or EACH for 7500?
But to quote CarFax: “It’s a Corolla. It’s fine.” 🙂
@dad2pwd
7500 each 😂
Then that’s probably a little high, especially for the higher mileage one (and especially since I would assume they are bare-bones models). I would look at comparable listings in your area on autotrader, autotempest, etc.
Bought old government cars in the past, got burned every time.
It's a machine ! It doesn't much matter where it came from, it's a machine.
If it's a good machine, buy it. If it's not good, walk away.
