Hi Scotty! I hope you can take the time to help me. I am currently in the market for a 1997 mg mgf. But it leaks hydrogas fluid and it has collapsed so should I refill it or put on coilovers

I would just convert it and save the headache myself.

I don't think any hydragas-equipped cars were ever sold in the U.S. Closest thing to it would be Alex Moulton's hydrolastic suspension, a precursor to hydragas, in the original Mini and the Austin America (Morris 1100/ADO16) which sold here in small numbers in the 1960s.

I'm assuming you're in the UK - what is the parts and service situation for those? You'll obviously need to fix the leak if you plan to recharge the suspension. Otherwise it's convert to coils.
