I've just bought a second hand car. There isn't a spare tyre that came with it. Should I pay for a spare compact tyre and compact jack, roughly $150 or buy a tyre repair kit that comes with a compressor for about $30?
Let me know your thoughts peeps!
Just visit your local junkyard, … find and buy a matching full time wheel. That way, you will have full time spare that you can change quickly if you get a flat, … and even use it as part of tire rotation, perhaps.

I asked car manufacturer if they would sell me a new, full size, tire and rim for a spare. I was told they would sell the fifty-mile spare and air pump but the full size tire would not fit. I went to eBay for rim, cheap and new. Local tire store matched tire brand and style of tire. All fits in hole that I was told only a small, imitation tire would fit.
I was going to buy a new car. Asked salesman if they would put a full size spare tire on new car. I was told no. I said no the buying the new car.
Don't buy the cheap Chinese crap when it comes to safety. Get the spare.
yeah good idea. It's that or wait for the tow truck.
