Hey Scotty, I’m looking into a truck and I came across a 1992 Chevy 1500 long bed. It has 160,000 miles and it just needs new ball joints. I talked the guy down to 2500. What are your thoughts? Should I proceed with purchasing this truck?

Have it checked out by a competent mechanic and at the very least, get a compression check. It could be a keeper.

Could be a good deal. As Scotty said, GM made them a lot better back in those days.
Not a bad price either, if it runs and shifts well.
Obviously the better you get it inspected though beforehand the better.
