I saw an ad on Facebook marketplace about a 2001 honda civic with 200,000 miles and an automatic transmission. the owner says it runs hot and needs a battery. He said he will take 350$ for it. Is this a good deal or would I be buying a piece of junk?

Let it go. His price is all it's worth IF it was in great shape ! For our car lot, we just immediately wholesale-off those cars, not worth messing with. Nobody wants them, can't sell.

It sounds like you may be buying work,
Any car with that milage that's (running hot) or overheating as we call it,
is going to need attention, so depending on your level of competence to tackle it,
the choice is really up to you.
