Hey man, I currently have a 2006 4 clyinder 2.8L 2WD Chevy Colorado with 200,000 Miles that I bought from my buddy. I’m wondering if I should drain and change my transmission fluid. I don’t believe it’s ever been done at all and if he put the right fluid into it. He also overflowed it and I believe is the cause of the Case Rear extesion to start leaking fluid through the seal. The truck does have a bit of delay and shifts little rough and jerks when sitting in place but it isn’t major yet. I’m considering putting in Lucas Stop Slip into it to help improve but I’m not entirely sure if I should change the fluid first.
With that many miles, I would leave it alone.
I’m planning to fix that leak for sure. Would you recommend I go ahead and add the Lucas Stop Slip into it?
You may drain a quarter and add the same amount of Lucas anti slip.

Maybe you should ask your buddy if he ever change it and if he used the correct fluid.
