Should I change the transmission fluid?

I have a 2011 ford fusion 2.5 A/T that's at 337,000 miles. It has clunks in between shifts, it's definitely coming from the transmission and I know it's probably at the end of it's lifespan soon. But it shifts great otherwise and I'm planning on riding it out before getting it rebuilt. Engine is in great condition as of now and will get a rebuilt when needed.

The oil has been changed religiously every 5,000 miles with synth since it's left the show room, but I have no idea or records of the transmission fluid being done. With that being said should I change it? What are the chances it will have problems afterwards.

Thanks for the read!

Fusions have crap transmissions. I would get rid of the car and not put any more money into it.

How crappy could it be if it's lasted well over 300,000 miles and is still going down the road? However I do agree that car is not worth putting big money into, certainly not the thousands a rebuilt trans would cost.

this particular one didn't fail. Maybe his trunk was full of horseshoes, clovers and rabbit feet. Would I take another chance with a rebuild? No.

337,000 miles

If this mileage is correct, just leave the ATF alone.

Leave it....and sell it for something better. Must be a lot of highway miles on that thing.
