A friend is in debate to fix the ac compressor for $1000 in total for parts and labor. Or he should give up on the car and look for another one. He’s in debate because seeing of how the car market is now he doesn’t know if he should fix it or find another car. He’s trying to lease a newer car by next year

What else will need fixed in the next year? How many lease payments does that $1000 represent? 2 to 4? Economics 101 says "there is no such thing as a free lunch".
