the local franchise mechanic said the car is like a old person. lots of changes needed. better to buy a new car..so
it's a one owner low mile car. a 1995 camry. all services done. there CV boots needs and non fixable leaks. water gasket rust... should we. it's a toyota... and very low miles.. what car should we get?
Please don’t double post, thanks.
Well you can keep fixing them and those things can go $500,000 miles or more just depends on what you want to drive and how much fixing is needed cuz parts on those old cameras are relatively cheap and readily available
had it fixed for $500 and another $500 AUD. Australian dollars. RUNNING like a dream now. Beautiful.
Take it to an independent diagnostic mechanic and get a thorough general inspection. (Forget franchise mechanics).
After you have an accurate inspection, you can do a thorough cost/benefit analysis. (Don't forget to include higher insurance costs for a newer vehicle).
You can fix a lot of things with the money you would pay for 5 or 6 months worth of new car payments.
park it in my driveway
leave the keys in it
walk away

I took my Accord in to the dealer around 2014 for an oil change. They said it needed a bunch of things, and I should just buy a new car instead. It was the dealer of course.
I didn’t listen to them. Fixed what I needed either on my own or an infield ent mechanic. It’s almost 10 years later, and my Accord is still running strong.
Forget about those Franchise Mechanics, like scotty said, look for a honest mechanic because one time i went to a franchise mechanic and my car needed some service, when they checked they said that it needed new coolant, brake fluid, brake replacement, and it needed tire rotation, and i just want my oil to be changed so i just asked my son to change it as well as the spark plugs because i rather my son to learn something than pay 680 dollars for an oil change( As well as the other things the car did not need).:/
