Scottie, love the channel! I have a 2017 Lincoln Continental with a 3.0. EcoBoost (I know). Twice in the last week it displayed the "Wrench light" and spit and sputtered its way home. I took it to the local dealer (not where I bought it). They tell me that their dealer level scan tool can't find a problem, nor does it diagnose issues based on past behavior.......I asked, "what good is it then"?

Shouldn't they be able to tell me what happened? I gave them both days and the times it occurred. If they can't tell me I will likly sell in this hot used car market.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Find an honest mechanic to tell you the truth. Then decide if you want to keep it or not. How many miles on that car?

Maybe some bad gas or a clogged fuel filter.

1. Do you already have your eyes on a suitable replacement?

2. How much are you being offered for it at present?

It’s odd (but not impossible) for something major to go wrong at such low mileage, in a relatively new car.

I sold it on Carvana. They gave me over $9,000 more than I owed. So now I am buying a 2019 Ford Explorer XLT wit the 3.5 naturally aspirated V-6.............

Congratulations!
