I have a 2013 Toyota Sienna. The battery light has come on a few times. I had AAA come out and check it. The tech didn't find anything wrong. What would make the battery light come on for a few minutes every time after it first starts for the day? Should I take it to a real mechanic for a more thorough evaluation?
Yes, take it to a real mechanic. (Not a dealer or chain shop.)
Thanks. Yes I think it would be money well spent even if everything is okay. Don't want to get stuck on the side of the highway in the middle of the California desert.
Everything is not OK. The light is coming on for a reason. Have the alternator load tested.
I agree. Taking it in first thing Monday morning. Thanks and have a nice weekend.
Take it to a large auto parts store for free testing. Do not go to a dealer, please!
Have a good mechanic. Learned my lesson about dealers long ago. Thanks
