Sienna water pump leak

Hi Scotty, I own a 2008 Toyota Sienna with 77,000 MI. I recently took it to a Toyota dealership to get some fluids replaced and they said the water pump was leaking and needed to be replaced. They took a picture and showed it to me, and the leak did not look significant or excessive, only about a 2 in. Could this be just a normal leak coming out of the weep hole? My van is not showing any signs that anything is wrong.

Do not trust the dealer.  It is possible they are correct but I would not bet on it.  Find an honest, independent mechanic.

This is what it's like to go to a dealership for service ...

If your water pump is actually leaking, your coolant reservoir level will be going down. Mark the level with a piece of tape and check it every week to see if that is the case.
