Scotty, my 2010 Sierra 2500 had a great sound system,,,,,until last week. Out of nowhere, all the speakers except the speaker in the drivers door quit working. I started looking to find a shop that still repairs radio, but cannot find one. So went to Plan B, buy a used radio. Lots of radios claim to fit, so I decided to tear into the dash and check the part number on the broken radio. Then I found out you have to take the used radio to a dealer for recode. I cleaned the contacts on the existing radio and plugged it back in. Same problem until today, when I turned on the cruise control and the front passenger door came back on. But the two crew cab doors are still not working. How can I trouble shoot, without buying a radio from junk yard and getting it re-programmed?
Well, I don't mess with any of that crap myself and the problem does seem to be inside the radio itself. Nobody fixes them. I'd just put in an Android replacement. They're better anyways. I do that all the time
