I have a chance to buy a 2004 chevy silverado 3500 6.0 dually with a 123000 miles.  The truck needs a bed on it everything else is fine. I need it to pull a 14ft Gatorade trailer hauling a 2021 teryx 4 le and was wondering if it will do it. I'm buying the truck from a private party.  Is this a fair price and what should I look for. I am also gonna buy a flat bed to put on the truck

The biggest worries about the LB7 6.0 motor is the injectors and water pump failing. Some people get lucky and only really have to mess with the injectors but my cousins friend usually has to replace a water pump every few yrs seems like. The price, in my opinion, is decent. And 124k on that motor is barely breaking it in. Just keep in mind that thing comes with its downfalls.

the truck should still have a lot of life left in it, if it was maintained. Have it inspected for major flaws, and if it seems OK then sure. I would try to knock down the price a bit though since it's 17 years old. $2500

Definitely have a mechanic check it out before you buy. Maintenance will be essential. If it checks out, $2000 - $2500.
