Hello, There are so many conflicting opinions on oil additives to quiet lifter noise I'm unsure if it's worth a risk in trying any. I just don't know who to trust anymore. Except for Master Kilmer! I recently inherited a 2006 RX330 and it has very slight lifter ticking at idle. It has been dealer maintained for the first 120k then not so much after that. Routine oil changes every 3k though. I've never owned a Toyota before and have heard far too many differing opinions on using any additives in a Lexus, so before I risk doing any future damage, I have to ask the Master. Is there any oil additive that is deemed perfectly safe for the lifters/valve train in my 06 Lexus or is it worth even trying? I can live with the slight noise, it is very minimal, but it's there, the engine runs beautiful still, no codes, but I don't want the noise to get worse if I can help it. Any information is appreciated. Thank you very very much.
You could try this:

Do not ignore the lifters because if they get worse, then you're going to have to rebuild/replace the engine or junk the car entirely.
You could try ATS oil system cleaner. This is the stuff that Scotty swears by and has mentioned quite a few times in prior videos.

Only downside is that it's almost always out of stock, so gotta get on the waiting list.
I'll give the Rislone a shot, The ATS is again, or still, out of stock. I watched Scotty's video about it months ago and it was out of stock even then, all their products are, I wonder if they are still in the business? If Rislone doesn't make a difference, I'll get on the list for the ATS. Hopefully it will show up again. Thank you Both.
