Slipping cvt

Topic starter

I have a 2014 Nissan versa with 90k. CVT transmission showing slight slipping at low rpm until warned up never changed transmission fluid because didn't know how into recently. My question is should I change it now or will it exasperate the slipping? Should I start looking for another transmission? Or can I salvage mine?

You should definitely be allowing the vehicle to warm up prior to driving just like any vehicle so the fluids can warm and circulate properly.  You should be ok to change the fluid it’s only a drain and fill.  Just make sure to set the level properly and use the correct fluid from Nissan just to be safe

You can change the fluid.
My Sentra acts up in cold weather too. Feels like it is stuck in low gear.
I have to warm the car up anytime the temp is under 40F.
