I am looking to buy a small work van and am considering the Nissan NV200 and the Mercedes Metris both with a 2liter engine. Which will you choose or if there is a better alternative within my budget of $4,000.
I am in Ghana, Africa and my needs are basic crew and small tools and protective gear.

I'd personally get a Ford Transit over either of those but the Nissans are okay. Definitely stay away from the Metris.
The Mercedes is a VERY popular van in that area of the world as well as in the United States. Mercedes does not have the best reputation for reliability but it seems to me that there is some value to their work vans considering how many of them I see around. Have never worked on either of the two vehicles you have mentioned though! Good luck
