Found one for 13k wondering if I'm overpaying for a car that will poop out on me in couple of years. Ill prob put about 17-19 miles a year on it.

Only 17-19 miles a year?

Yea not too much there isn't too much around me I live in the middle of no where I just want something fun to drive back and forth to work lol

I'm pretty sure that's the Windsor V8 that's also in the Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis. In those cars they can hit 200k if maintained properly, Scotty says. If you can find an SN197 with the Windsor V8, standard transmission and not a ton of miles, they're relatively solid cars. I say low miles, cuz people like to beat on V8 Mustangs and wear them out prematurely. The Mustangs were better built back then.

I misspoke, the 4.6L Modular V8 was the successor to the Windsor V8, all else is the same, haha.

How far can it go? Well, the difference between the 4.6L 3V in the Mustang and the one in the Crown Vic is that the Crown Vic has the iron block. Mustang got the aluminum block.

That being said, I've seen them over 300k miles and still going when properly treated. Each car is different though, so it is impossible to say how long a certain engine will last.
