Looking to change my plugs soon. I have a 15 F150 5.0. I know the Motorcraft are platinum but I’ve found NGK iridium plugs on sale. I don’t think it’d be an issue if I switched over but I’d figure I’d ask. Is the 5 OH finicky with plugs? Better idea to stick with platinum or save some money and get the NGK iridium plugs?
My shop only uses NGK. we've had no problems. That being said, the engine is optimized for newer cars to go with specific parts. Computer adjustment does the rest. If the plugs are properly gapped then you will have no issues. Platinum and iridium are just names lol. They really don't mean anything.
@bruceree yeah I figured I’ve always used NGK plugs and coils great quality.
Check all your NGK plugs for continuity. I have had a few bad sets lately.
