Hello! My name is Justin. I have a 03 Ford Taurus 3.0 V6. Speedometer works sometimes but only during the day and stops at night. I’ve replaced the VSS still doing the same thing. Any advice would be appreciated.
Does the problem happen during the day if you turn the headlights on?
No sir, I drive with headlights on during the day. Sounds weird but it’s a force of habit.

@chucktobias is on the right track. I too suspect a weak battery or alternator, with those 2 codes. Have them both load tested.

I’ll have them both tested. Thank you! Hope it’s nothing major. Another question why are my dash lights dem? Half of them work and other had don’t.
If it’s not a weak alternator, check your cabin fuse box for blown fuses.
Also check grounds. They can get pretty messy after a couple of decades. Pay particular attention to the ground between the engine and chassis, which is frequently overlooked.
