I recently bought a 1986 Corvette from my grandparents for $4500 down in Texas and drove it back to Clarksville TN where I live. Before I bought it he had the old 4+3 Doug Nash transmission taken out and replaced it with a later C4 model 6 speed. It runs great, however the speedometer does not work and I’m at a loss as I know absolutely nothing about transmissions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

my guess is he didn't hook up the speedo cable
