Hey there scotty, Ive got a 2008 Chevy impala 3.5 in my garage, and i just rebuilt the transmission and reinstalled it. I never took off the starter in the process of removing the transmission. I go to reinstall my trans, and start it up. My car turned 1st time, but it wouldnt move. So i put in a little more fluid. After i did that, all the sudden my starter is hitting my flywheel instead of engaging. What do you think i should do? I already tested my starter and it works as it should outside of the car.

It sounds like it's jamming on the ring gear on the flex plate. Are you sure you installed it correctly?
