Scotty, I have a 2022 Carolla SE Hatchback 2.0 CVT with 11,000 miles. Sometimes I leave it for 2 to 6 months covered outside but never started. I also put the battery on a maintainer. I use Toyota 0-16 oil and change it 6month/5000miles. How long can I go without starting the engine before I need to prep the engine for starting such as disconnecting the fuel injectors to crank the engine and build some oil pressure. I use star tron (blue) stabilizer. Also for intermittent use how often should I run the car to avoid dry cylinder walls on startup?

Thanks

Al

2 months I wouldn't worry about too much, but you should be at least starting it up and letting it get warm every few weeks. I think that would really keep it in better shape

6 months I would start worrying about the gas going bad. Put some fuel stabilizer in it.

The cylinders are going to start drying out too. If you're not letting it run regularly, I would probably squirt some oil down through the spark plug holes to prevent dry starting.
